in bl2 theres that gun coffin in the same room with the fast travel when you try to open it you'll receive a prompt saying it will cost a gold key it should also show you the total amount you have. the coffin in TPS is harder to explain if im on i'll just show you

Go to the Unassuming Docks for Tiny Tina's DLC. Only start it after you've beaten the main campaign though - there. It dies in with the storyline.
