Setting Hard Drive to Active

I am here every day and always willing to share my knowledge. Topics like this are tough cause it is tough to fully explain it without getting overly technical with terms and descriptions that dont make sense.

This was teh best way i could describe it with as many non technical terms as possible.

Great, that's good to know. I am taking a class that is currently covering this particular subject, and your description beats the book's description (a Microsoft textbook, clear as mud sometimes LOL!).

I accidently did do what luigi was goin 2, i set my D: as active, which should have been a HP_Recovery drive but must have been deleted. So now I'm stuck at windows boot manager!

If that doesnt work you might have to get GParted. A free LiveCD partitioning tools to help you make the correct partition Active and the boot drive.

to make a long story short, ignore active drive and make your drive a logical (not primary) one when it will be used for it's intended use. as storage
