Official Tech-Forums Post Your "Picture of the Day" Thread! (56k Warning)

Here's another image I just got processed from the same series. This is Mt. Hood from Lost Lake at 9 or 10 at night.

what are we looking at? the galactic center?

LOL, Here's more! This one is from the same night from the one a couple posts up, the moon just started to rise.

The film ended up like like dog****, almost completly unprintable. I was seriously bummed, because this project wasn't exactly cheap and took the better part of a week.

Those are really nice shots Switch. I wish I had something to photograph like that. I'm going to cherry springs state park next month though, so I should have some nice pictures of the milky way and stars. Cherry springs is I think the darkest spot east of the mississippi.

Took this a few weeks ago, haven't had much time to take photos lately...

^^

I know what you mean hikaricloud, i've been trying to take my camera with me me more, but the problem is that it's too large. I can't really fit it in my bag alot of times, and i'm not going to carry around a D700 everywhere, that'd be ridiculous.

I dunno, i'm going to try and get a Panasonic GF1 pretty soon, got a coupla invoices I gotta turn in and that will help with the cost. I have a friend with the gf1 and with the 20mm, you can fit it anywhere, and it's still pretty petite with the 14-45.
