I think i have a virus on my computer?

I think i have a virus on my computer because it freezes and is going slow. Also none of the internets are working like mozilla firefox keeps crashing, and internet explorer wont open and google chrome does not work. Since this morning also when i go on regular mode it just shows the background image and no icons or nothing just the image of the background. Does anyone know what i can do?

How is your system running now?

Well i did that and it turns on and all the icons are showing. (this is the problem it fixed).

But some programs, when i click on them, for example microsoft word and internet explorer and some other programs, a screen comes up and it says open with and choose a program. here is a picture
