Hi there,
I need some help setting up my wireless network on an existing one so that i can access my other computers from a wireless connection.

I use a switch to connect 3 computers to transfer stuff here and there.
my wireless router is also connected to the switch (it's an Apple Airport Express router)

how do i get this to work? the router gives me a 10.0.1 address while the switch just extends the local internet (87.201....)

do i have to turn of DHCP or something? ive been trying this but with failure, i still get 10.0.0.1 as an IP..

Please let me know how to get this thing to work, i also have a Sitecom wireless router which I'd like to do the same thing with.

Thanks everyone.

turn off dhcp and assign it a static ip in the same range as your router is in. Just not one that would be used for your other computers. Also make sure you just connect into a regular port on the wireless not the wan port.

example:
router 192.168.0.1
comp1 192.168.0.100
comp2 192.168.0.101
etc.

give the router with dhcp turned off the static of 192.168.0.5 or something like that.
