My parents just got an eMachines computer during Black Friday and want to hook it up to our wireless network. I suggested an adapter that connected via USB, but my dad talked to his tech guy at work who suggested using an internal card instead because USB ones aren't that reliable. Is that true? Also, the computer has an open 1 PCI-E x16 slot, but all I see is PCI on websites such as Newegg and Tigerdirect. Would that be able to work? I'm including a link with all the specs of the computer if it helps. And if anybody is willing to suggest one, $25 or under would be preferable. Thanks.

if all thats open is a pci-e x16 slot, your ONLY option is USB

I have not use any usb wlan adapters so can't suggest any :p

Dear ECTech

the problem here is, that e-machine is a slim computer, which has NO PCI expansion slot, the only pci-e x1 slot is already OCCUPIED, I don't see where you are going to put that PCI card
