the dell cpx j650gt, I believe it has a 450mhz processor and 256 mb of ram.
I know firefox is out of the question, but what is something that is an improvement over IE?

i am HOPING to owatch youtube videos or streaming videos with my laptop..

Can also try Opera. It should work with Win2000 and it resource usage is pretty low. Lower than IE's that is for sure.

K-Meleon Is an extremely light weight and fast browser. It's mozilla based.
Forget about Chrome. It has a smaller memory footprint than Chrome, and it even loads webpages faster than Chrome.

It works great on my 700mhz pentium2 256mb Windows 7 PC.
