    Linux.com and kernel.org still down!

They did a nice job especially linux.com. I remember how I did not like the page layout and I did not spend any time on that site at all.

It does not say any where you can not link to off site pictures. You can verify that the the link is indeed from devianart and no threat should come from there!

    Linux.com and kernel.org still down!

I just checked and they are both now up again. Seems to me like linux.com has a new page layout that is much more pleasing than the last one I remember.

My gaming computer scored 1.98 followed by mz fathers Dell laptop with 1.00, whle my laptop scored at 0.74 and my sisters laptop at 0.25. You are welcomed to post your own cinebench CPU results. Linux.com and kernel.org still down!

It is October now and both sites are still down. What do you make of this? What are the implications for the linux community? For two of the most important sites for the linux community to be down for this long there has to be some good reason behind it I suppose. I think that there is going...

    Keyboard acting up!

Yeah, I mean the text cursor. I have many times observed my self typing to try and spot any mistakes if any I was making but so far I do not think I have noticed any thing that would make the cursor behave like that.

    Keyboard acting up!

Some time ago the fan in my laptop became really loud and there was no other option than to get it fixed. It was still under warranty and I also told them about the keyboard issue I have with it. The thing is that some times while I am typing the cursor for some unknown reason likes to jump...

    The Red Queen!

I was thinking about a security application that would be monitor your computer for odd ports in order to detect a trojan, rootkit,...If any thing would show up it would not take any measures to stop it but instead collect information about it like ports, IPs,...and then send the information...

So I have been looking around for some good security for a linux based gateway. So far I have this: #deny packets which claim to be from your loopback interface iptables -A INPUT -p all -s localhost -i eth0 -j DROP #allow established connections, and those not coming from the outside...
