Because the GTX 280 is $450 and the 4850 is $175. I don't game very much anymore, mainly because I haven't found anything I get into. Any game I do play the 4850 can handle just fine until I do my Nehalem build.

I will probably just go ahead and get the GTX 260 anyways.

Also....all I am really concerned about right now is Diablo 3.

before i read your reply, i already decided to buy the videocard and memory that you suggested.
also, I guess I will get the LG dvd burner instead of Samsung
i just had a little question about the motherboard
the motherboard u suggested had FSB (whatever that is ) of 1300mhz while mine had 2600mhz. is this a big difference in performance? i can spend extra 20 if it really makes a big difference. im a all-out pc gamer who is on a budget.
aso, i wanted to ask about the CPU. your choice seems to be moer expensive with less reviews. mine has a 4x winner of best cpu title, which made me choose it over other CPUs. are there any specific reason u picked the one you chose? please xplain! i am very new at building computers... thank you!

oh and. also with the case. I had to spend 5 years of my life with my old system that was LOUD AS ****!! it was so annoying! i don't know what exactly it was coming from, but im guessing from all different old parts: one of them from the case fans.
I would really like it if my new computer made little or barely noticable noise. i see that your case has many places to attach a fan. is this going to be loud???
