Thanks Mak. I think the reason it didn't work yesterday may have been it was the 1st day on WU and the web site getting pounded hard by people trying to access it. Today I just disabled AV and it took 20 mins to d/l and install.

Well maybe this will solve ti for many others. It could have been something as simple as over bearing the Servers. Glad you got it working now and are fully up to date.

I finally got around to installing SP3 and installation went through seemlessly, but it did somehow reinstall my wireless adapter, Messenger services, and knocked out drivers for my TV Tuner remote control software . Other than that, I have no strange effects.
Upon initial boot up, the Windows Auto Update window came up before booting to the desktop. I disabled the update feature because I usually do the Windows Update manually. Other than that, I don't see anything new.
