Default XP Pro and Yahoo Games

Good day all! I've just loaded XP Pro on my home system and cannot get games on Yahoo to work... I've also got XP on my work system, so I know it CAN work... We tried another reload this afternoon and when we went back into Yahoo it told us that we needed "Virtual Machine". We downloaded that then it took us to the download page at MS. Then we received a message telling us that we needed a newer version of XP and sent us to the Update page. There we downloaded Service Pack 1. Yahoo's games haven't worked since. Any thoughts anyone? It's really beginning to irritate me....

Thanks so much for the reply! We found out last night that we needed to load a new Sun Java... We did and it worked great! But thanks for replying...I wasn't sure anyone would.... I hope we can return the favor one day!
