| Re: XP Pro question I am pretty sure it is a profile. it is listed where my profile and admin profile is under c:doc and settings. So do you think it is ok to delete it and the user? It is also listed under local users and groups.

| Re: XP Pro question Again i state what i said above. If it is not listed in the User Controls part of the Control Panel or available at the user selection screen it is not a profile. If anything it was a profile that was already delete via the User Controls long ago and the rest of the stuff can be deleted.

| Re: XP Pro question Mak, I have a bunch of things under docs and settings that I am not sure I need. I was wondering if I could attach a pic of it and was wondering if you could tell me what I needed and what I could get rid of. Is that OK with you? Please let me know.
thank you. |

PS, How can I tell which one is my desktop. Whenever I look under each user, I never see my complete desktop under desktop folder? I see some of my desktop icons but no every one.

| Re: XP Pro question Okay you need teh Default User, Administrator, and the current User name you are using. That is if you have created a desktop with your Admin account. Here is what my folder looks like, see attached.
So if you use my folder as a guide you will know what you can delete. I only have 1 account active and the Administrator account i have not used to create a profile folder for it yet.

| Re: XP Pro question When I try to delete me.moe it comes up saying "me.moe is a systems folder and is required for windows to run properly. It can not be deleted" so do I need it? If not, how do I delete it?

| Re: XP Pro question Go into the Admin account in Safe Mode. To me that does not sound like any profile or system folder i have ever seen.
Have you gone thru the Osiris Guide and been cleared of infections recently?

If I delete anything in there I could always get it back via system restore, correct? I am really paranoid about this stuff. I hope you understand. I already created a restore point just in case. |

| Re: XP Pro question As i sated already. System Restore is used to recover from a application failure. Not from a profile erase.
If you are so paranoid. Dont remove them. It wont harm your system to leave them there. Other than to confuse you.
I would suggest going thru the guide just to be sure.
