hi i have just brought a new pc from ebay. it has xp home oem installed. in the start-all programmes-accessories-system tools it has an icon which says activate windows.what is this? should i click it? the pc didnt come with a recovery disk,how can i create one?
Go ahead and click it, but you don't need to, and if it isn't activated it will require you to call MS where you will be interrogated. - tip phone at night and say you had got a virus but don't attack just be defensive if they start asking questions.
If the PC didn't come with a copy of XP than you can't format. It is probally a illegal copy of XP.
