Xp Home Edition problem-- xxx.exe not found

Hello,
You've been helplful before, I need you again.

Notepad.exe entry point not found. NTDLL.rtlsizeheap not located in KERNELL32.dll.
Also for Iexplore.exe, Helpctr.exe, Netscp6.exe, other games etc.

Have internet access with IE in rudimentary form. No large Back, Stop, Refresh buttons.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, I'm not sure about IE repair. Would be interested for the next time.

A new devolopment--and I cant explain it. If someone can, I'd appreciate it.

I did a system restore to a point back in time. Was not satisfied with it, many programs were not present. Have to reinstall many, so I undid the restore, and guess what? Everything SEEMS to work again!!! Able to access notepad, games ,IE browser as if nothing nasty happened before!!! No more"entry point not found" messages.
Which is interesting. HMMMM... It looks like it restored what I needed (plus whatever else it does). Can I just restore what I need??? That dumb ol KERNELL32.dll or whatever?? Also mentioned in the error message, something called NTDLL.rtlsizeheap--For those in the know.
