i am using acer laptop with pre installed xp. i want to install firefox but it dosent let me. keeps giving me an error that a file cannot be opened

xpicom. xp3 i think is the file name and also attributes it to the

document and settings/local/temp folder

i cant take IE anymore

Reboot into safemode with networking, download firefox again and install from there. See if this will help you.
