Has anyone ever tried Windows Media Player 11 beta? I was thinking of using it. If you've used it, how is it and is it better then 10?

Windows Media Player 11 Beta is different than 10. It has some pros and cons:

PROS
- Easy to use
- Albums are arranged easier

CONS
- Buggy, since it's a Beta
- Lacks visualizations

Id stick with 10 for me personally 11 was too slow loading up and the pro`s arent worth it if you use winamp or something similar.

Is the bugs in the beta that bad? I don't care for visualizations.

i used WMP 11 last night to rip CD's, and it worked fine. It's just really demanding on RAM.

the only lag I got was if a video was played it would take 5 to 10 seconds to start up I have 2 gigs of ram and it was still slow. The media side is alright and is an improvement but as I said I use winamp so I don't bother with its media layout.

5-10 seconds to start up on a 2GB RAM machine?

My Celeron with 512MB RAM boots up in 4 seconds, maybe you have a virus or a corrupted or out of date version of WMP 11?

Could be the latter I am basing my opinion on the very first beta that was released. Has it improved?

I stopped using it. wmp 10 is way better. 11 spy on you. it would play download video already on my computer. but it wouldn't play download videos that I downloaded after it was installed
