How can i wipe data in windows me ? I mean, i need some kind of software that can permanently delete, without the posibility of recovery. Anyone can help ?

i had me before new comp, it should have came w/ 3 discs for system recovery. i just did it last night over my sisters house. formatted the hd.

There is no way to wipe data completly with any software. It is still recoverable.

If you don't want to use the Drive again. Destroy it, in as many pieces as possible. Then sprinkle the remains into a river. Then its truely unrecoverable.

powerMax And Boot N Nuke are two bootable formaters you can use before using the windows Format/install.
Just google them.

Windows ME on it's own will destroy the computer. Enjoy Windows 2000; it's eight years old, but it's better than YOUR eight year old OS.
