| Hello all, About a week ago I down loaded windows xp service pack 3. I noticed the gradual decline in my pc performance it was much slower, then I started getting the blue screen of death when using applications, now it won't even boot. I have read that there are a great deal of people experiencing the same problem b/c the service pack is not compatible with amd systems like mine. I am currently using the drive it is stored on as a slave drive. all of the files, applications and documents are still intact. Basically, I want to delete the service pack and assess and reverse any potential damage done to the operating system that may prevent booting up. Any Suggestions? Do I have the right idea? Thanx asus a7v8x windows xp cd/dvd rw 200gb ide hd |

| Hello, Did you look in the topic that says Read First? In there is a article that is directly about what you talk about. Fix for Restart Bug after installing Windows XP SP3 The bug was not specifically for AMD systems. It was for HP AMD systems. Cheers, Mak |
