Hi, I just got a second-hand desktop with XP Pro and I think the previous ower had some sort of network or something set up. Anyway at the moment I can't add or even change the user accounts and the menu looks like this

Instead of the standard

Does anyone know how to make the menu and stuff like the second one?

Right click on the desktop. Choose Properties. From there Select Appeareance. There you can select the look of XP. Right now it is set to Classic mode instead of the XP mode.

Thanks for the reply but what I mean is, if you look at the Gray one it has a user account menu with the two tabs at the top, whereas the blue one doesn't. I'm trying to get my user account menu to look like the Windows XP menu instead of the window with 2 tabs. If that makes sense.

if you choose the xp theme, is should look like how you want...ie., reset all to xp look

Again i state what i said above. Resetting the XP Theme will adjust the Control panel and EVERYTHING else to the XP style not the classic style. Please try the fix before saying it doesn't work.
