So i'm new with using norton ghost. I have a exchange server that has a hard drive going out. So I set up a test enviorment with an xp machine and attempt to try out Ghost to see what its all about. So the drive finished coping and it seems to boot up just fine. The problem is when I go to log on the computer just logs offs. I've tired to log in to both the domain and local accounts, but the same problem happends, It gets to loading docs and settings then says logging off and i'm right back at the windows logon screen.

What I can rule out- No virus, this is freshly installed OS. Hardware its a brand new computer and works fine with the other hard drive.

I'm guessing it could be a problem that occured while coping the hard drive, which then I should try to recopy the drive and see if the same problem occurs.

Any help would be great!

What version of ghost is this please an what OS are you trying to clone? Also what size hard drives are you using.

Winxp pro sp3 - Norton Ghost 12.0 - source hd=150gb destination hd= 150gb

I tired to clone it again with the same problem, also happends in save mode, and i can still put the oringal hard drive in and it works fine.
