Default windows xp home edition not booting

guys got a problem here..

i burn a windows xp home edition in one cd.. when i restart the pc... its not booting...

it showing only the DR DOS... .. what is the problem with that...


its means my windows home is a startup disk... coz after bboting DR DOS is showwing...

need help guys

if you "burned" an XP cd, chances are, its a fake version.
They do not boot from the bios, i have tried many "XP" discs.

how did you copy and burn it? what did you copy it with? will it autoplay within windows?

Well just to make things legal here, if you do own the original copy and you want to boot up with the backup you should had copy it as an image and burned it, this wouldn't be a problem, it should be able to boot. There are ways to make it bootable using Nero, but I won't discussed it, but I won't stop you and remember Google.com is your best bet.

On another note, make sure your BIOS is set to boot from CD before Harddrive.
