Default Windows XP: BSOD 0x071

Why can't I have normal errors that are easily remedied?

I ran into a problem with my taskmanager originally. My user name wouldn't show up when i started it up. I sought out a solution online, my search brought me here. I rebooted, I also rebooted after virus scanning and running CCleaner.

Now, lately, I get a BSOD Error 0x071. I looked it up, and the Stop Code 0x00000071 SESSION5_INITIALIZATION_FAILED brought up a lot of related incidents, but, very few solutions. Should I reformat? Or is this some thing I can fix Easily? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have Zone Alarm installed?

No, I checked my add/remove programs and no zone alarm anywhere. Should I be ready for a reformat?

What operating system?

What I see is:

I would start by trying a repair install.

How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install
Make sure you have important data backed up but this will restore you to factory defaults. You will need to do all of the M$ updates.

Alright, thanks. This will take me a few as I make the proper back-ups. I will report back tomorrow(its 10PM here) with an update. Hopefully I can reboot without any problems afterwards.

Sure thing. When finished I would run through Osiris guide located in his sig above in case you have some nastiness that messed with system files.

Alright had to edit post. Initially I had no problems, went to bed.

However, I am running into a single issue regarding my internet. (on another pc now). I am using a Linksys WMP54G Ver.4.0 Adapter. I didn't remove it during the repair process as I slept, now this morning I run into access violation errors. Strangely enough, my wireless connection/networking service is no where to be found(you know, the little monitors that usually display a red x' is gone). So, I am on another pc attempting to rectify all of this. Any suggestions on getting my wireless adapter back online?
