so i've changed around my hardware a few times lately, and reformated. i changed my cd-rw to a dvd-rw. then i changed both of my HDs to two new western digital SATAs. windows told me to activate my OS, i said ok, and i get a message that the software has been activated too many times based on the hardware changes and to use a different key.

they're kidding right, they dont expect me to buy another version? because honestly they can go you know what themselves.

i'm just looking for someone to tell me, do i obtain a new key through them or do they really expect me to buy another copy?

As long as you obtained the copy legit and have your COA, call up Microsoft and explain the situation, they will help you activate by phone
