| I have a Windows XP PC that is taking 20-30 at the Windows Applying Computer settings. I have cleaned-up temp files and user profiles, performed Disk Cleanup, Disk Defrag and still it's taking 20-30 minutes to finally boot-up completely. Has anyone out there experienced this problem and what was done to eliminated this problem other than performing an re-image. |

| are you logging on to a dns server? I have had this problem when i do not specify the dns server address. you can put that info in tcp/ip properties if you are indeed logging onto a dns server (ie server 2000 or server 2003)
