has anyone done this yet? http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/6...n/upgrade.mspx i think i am going to load her up and see how it works and see what goes on.

ive gotta ask - if you dont have 16 GB of RAM, what is the point in upgrading?

one of the top 5 reasons to upgrade is because it supports up to 16 Gigs of RAM...

first off your mother bord has to support 16gb of ram (there arnt any yeat... i dont think)
and also 64 is ok but it cant run alot of programs because it cant read the 16 instalation parts so onaly programs that have a 32bit instalation will work

and yes i did down load it not that great and not a noticable gain in system perfomance

I have it as a third boot after Windows XP and Redhat.

I downloaded it simply as something to play around with, but it is slightly faster in basic tasks. Its limited by low quality drivers in games, though. I dont think it is worth it as a primary OS.

My motherboard only supports 3 gigabytes of RAM, and the OS still works like a charm.
