My PC wont start windows. It seems to be booting in windows but when it says windows is starting up it wont go into the user accounts it will just keep saying windows is starting up. I tried to boot into safe mode but that wouldnt work. I have a Dell Dimension 3000 PC. Does anyone have any idea of what problem may be. Im thinking it might be a virus or something but im getting kinda worried because I have a report on my pc thats due friday.

you could download Hiren's boot cd and do a virus scan with mcafee.

I did im during a virus scan now

I did the virus scan on the bootcd and its still not starting up

Have you used your Windows CD to try and go into the recovery console and do a fixmbr and fixboot? Have you tried to do a Windows repair?

After I turned off the computer a bunch of times I was finally able to go into safe mode and I restored my PC to Monday and now it works perfectly.
