A French website, PC Inpact, has posted the official Microsoft product change request forms for Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3. So just when do our friends from France say Microsoft is planning on releasing our little Service Pack friends? Well, according to them, we will be seeing Vista SP1 a little earlier than previously anticipated:

Windows Vista SP1: February 18th or 19th
Windows XP SP3: March 23rd or 24th

Well, according to this article, the Vista SP1 release is being delayed another 6 weeks. I seem to remember a long time ago arguing with a certain person who is now a moderator about just that. I said I'll believe it's coming out in Q1 of '08 when I see it. And now they're already starting on the possibly long path of delays.

I'll believe it's only going to be a 6 week delay when I see it.

But I will say, at least they're trying to get things to work right.

Vista SP1 will not hit then. They have just found a Drive issue with SP1. Till the manufacturers can get it sorted....if they decided to get it sorted. Plus as i said they want to get out the pre-requisites.

XP SP3 just hit RC2.
