I have IE7 on xp. it is such a improvement over the old one that I don't talk about IE anymore. I still like FF better

Not MSN messenger. MS will fix this of course but IE7 is still in beta so there is no need to make a new version of MSN yet.

The problem lies with IE7 using a new msn.dll which will not allow the messenger to work when the final product is released you will find no conflict.

can't you just copy the old msn.dll over the new one to fix it?

no....

The old msn.dll is the one causing the conflict. You take the new dll from IE and copy it to the messenger replacing the old dll.

I don't care anyone who had it before now can't even deny they pirated it because of that fact alone. Now it is officially released and on technet and msdn.
