I successfully installed the 32bit version of Vista with Daemon Tools. Gaming is far from smooth at 30fps, so I will be booting back to XP for that unless anyone has a solution?

that is probably because vista still has all the fancy effects in windows running in the background when you play the game so it runs at a lower framrate. did you try using the basic ui when you want to play games?

sorry i don't feel good today...... it means User interface you can change ro the basic theme the same way you swich themes in xp and that should fix the gaming lag.

For now you have to turn it off manually for now. But when vista comes out they say it will have a "game optimizer" to improve gaming

So when I enter a game just set it to windows classic view? I suppose it isn't too bad having to do that.

you could set it to classic then save the theme as an icon on your desktop so all you will have to do before a game is click the icon

does anyone know if the Vista beta will run with 64 bit? or 32? which one? or can the beta work with both???
