Question Windows Vista: 64-bit vs 32-bit

ok, i am planning on building a new computer (my second) and was confused by the choice between vista 64-bit and 32-bit. from what i can gather, the 64-bit version can detect more ram, however can't run certain programs? could anyone explain the difference between the two and give their opinion on which i should choose?

thanks for the help.

^**READ FIRST**^ Windows Stickies Index

Difference Between 32 Bit (x86) and 64 Bit (x64)

It tells you everything and how to examine your rig if its ready for 64bit...

(please read the stickies first before posting)

Go with 64bit if you plan on going to 4gb+ RAM
