 |  windows update error round my mates on her vista machine on the system tray its got updates are available for pc so i click it install them or try to install them but then it comes up with an error, can anyone help, i forgot what the error says

| Re: windows update error well the simple work around is to go to the windows update website and bypass the automatic updater. If you can get us the error message we can probably help more.

| Re: windows update error Will need the update error code. That will be the best cause without it we are just guessing. At least with the error codes we have some place to start.
