Windows SVC Host Errors

Hiya everyone,

Every once in a while I get an SVC host error, it prevents my sound card from working properly.

In the past I would run WWDC and it would "fix" it, only to have it reappear in a few weeks.

Here is the details:
szAppName : svchost.exe szAppVer : 5.1.2600.2180 szModName : rastapi.dll
szModVer : 5.1.2600.2180 offset : 0000bbab

Files included to be sent in the error report are:

C:\DOCUME~1\Josh\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERbee1.dir00\svcho st.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Josh\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERbee1.dir00\appco mpat.txt

If someone would be so kind as to explain what the issue is here I be super stoked !

Have you updated your drivers at all?

Windows Worms Doors Cleaner.

And other than what drivers get updated with Windows Updates, or Video card/Sound card updates, no I have not.

Let me be more specific, my sound card stops working for web applications, like playing a streaming clip/music or quicktime clip, anything downloaded or say for instance WoW, sound is fine.

It could be a codec issue than. You may not haev the appropiate codec to play those videos online.

My codex files are up to date, when WWDC actually fixed the problem it would work fine, no codex drivers were changed/added.

What does Rastapii.ddl do?
