Windows Media Player 11 problem

Windows Media player plays the music and sounds in a dvd but not the voices. I have tried other video players and it still does the same. Do you guys have any idea whats going on here? I have a creative audigy 2 zs gamer. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate edition.

Get the Vista Codec Pack and install it.

i installed the vista codec and i still have the same problems...any other suggestions?

Have yo gotten the latest drive from Creative?

yea. The last one was released a year ago. Do you think I just need to buy a new sound card that is completely compatible with Vista?

if you have 2 speakers, make sure to select...2 speakers...
and whatever if you have whatever, ie 4, 5, 6, 7....etc

Tofu does have a good suggestion. Go to the control panel and under the sound settings make sure your speaker are set up right.

the speakers are setup for 5.1 which is what i have. I have logitech g51 surround sound speakers. This is really starting to make me mad. I really wanted to see what movies would sound like over my speakers and also that my computer is(or was) my only functioning dvd player in my room.

So you have updated drivers, codecs, and speakers setup right. Still nothing.

Mabybe the volume for the surround speakers isnt turned up?
