Hello,

When I log into windows, on the logon screen, why is there this light spot on the top left corner? I thought it was my monitor, but I also noticed it on my laptop and others' computers.

could be anything:

-discolorization
-dead pixel
-changed boot screen..

Dont think it is a dead pixel...seems to happen on whatever computer I am on, even those at school. Do you see it in your logon screen?

Mine says "Windows XP Professional", with the blue bars scrolling.

Not that screen, but the screen after that, it is light blue and says something like "Loading your personalized settings", I have a very faint light spot in the top left corner.

Don't worry, it is normal. Just a part of the design.

Really, I thought that I have always had mine. Maybe it is different for different builds/service packs of Windows?

I have Windows XP Pro SP2.
