I was searching for a program to use as a login mechanism for my pc(insted of using the windows one) but to no avail.
Do you know any program of such kind?
Thank you
what do you need it for? I guess i don't understand... i mean you have to use windows login in order to use the system. Environmental variables, permissions, etc all come from the certifications carried with a login so i don't see how a 3rd party tool would do what Windows isn't...
I dont understand what you are trying to do. Use a different login screen? Use a different login method? Bypass login?
I will tell you right now that if you want to use a different login method other than the Windows one it wont work. Cause Windows doesnt allow for you to change the login style.
Now for clarification. You cant make it like a login for a forum or something. You can change the background and stuff like that. Placement of the windows and such. But overall if you wanted to change the overall performance from XP Style to say Ubuntu wont work.
Check Login Studio from wincustomize. If you wish to bypass the login altogether type this:
Start>Run>control userpasswords2
That will bring you up to a screen where you can bypass the login altogether and get right to a desktop.

What i'm looking for is a program that would kick in as a second login phase once you passed the windows one.For exemple: you login into your pc through the standard windows login and the first app to load would be an authentication one, making it the second phase of authentication, to fully enter the windows.
Do you know any program like that?
As far as i know there isn't one that will do it after boot, but there is one during boot, essentially it adds password to the boot manager but I am at a loss to recall it's name right now.
