Simple answer: to use DX 10 + 11 and the 4gb of memory that is becoming the standard for gaming

Your "info" is way off, durabox.

Unless you are trying to run some really old games, win7 is the way to go. XP is still a good OS, but it is well past its prime. I haven't hit a game that won't run on 7, even if I do have to tweak it a bit (my fault, not 7's).

Errors? 7 is the most bug-free OS Microsoft has ever released. Even the betas were solid.

If you are staying on an old rig, stay with XP. If you arebuilding/buying a new one, go 7. Nice and simple.

I've been using win7 for months now, I can play all the games I have just fine (and trust me, I've got quite a few). From older games like CS to newer ones like Batman Arkham Asylum, I've yet to hit any major problems.

I would seriously like to know where you got this information. Cause they need a reality check and a cat scan. I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Win7 has been shown to outperform XP in gaming. I have gotten a total of 3 errors in Win7. All caused by ME. Win7 support games like crazy. I have found 2 games out of all that i have tried that dont work. 2 games is not bad for a brand new OS release. Vista had more issues than that.

So where ever you got that info, i would tell them to read the FAQ i have created and posted. I have Compatibility Lists out there along with so much more. 2 programs out of the 250+ i have tried dont work. That is by far much greater than XP or Vista ever had when released.
