Default Windows 7 on multiple PCs

Hi all

Just got a question, i bought the student offer for Windows 7 64bit Pro for 40$ CAD, and i'm wondering if the student offer windows 7 is able to run on multiple PCs using the same serial number?

Thanks

I don't think so. I think that's why they're selling the "Family Pack" as well. The upgrade is intended for one computer, while the "Family Pack" is intended for three computers. You could try it but I wouldn't count on it registering the serial on more than one computer.

Software is single license only unless otherwise stated. So you can only use it on one computer.

BINGO!!! We have a winner!

1 serial = 1 PC. Always has been always will be. That has been around since Windows 95 was first released and it hasnt changed. Using Retail you can transfer the license to a difference PC but it can never be on more than 1 PC at any time.

If you need more licenses you can get the Family Pack from the Microsoft Store.

Ultimate doesn't get you anything over Pro other than language packs and Bitlocker. Pro has a few more features than HP like XP Mode (which is totally slick btw) and more networking features.

MCE has been included in the OS since Vista. Check the Win7 site. It has a nice list of all features each version includes. I know i have it posted in the FAQ thread as well.
