I've been using Windows 7 Pro for a while and I've noticed that it has started to lock up a lot. I thought the issue was when I was only using firefox because it seemed to happen when I was using firefox. Then my computer locked up when I was in oblivion and I had to force shut it down. The most recent issue I had was after I booted up, windows loaded but I couldn't do anything. When I dragged the mouse over the taskbar I would get the hourglass and I couldn't do anything for about a minute.

I ran hijack this but I don't know how to read one so if this helps here is the log

There is nothing wrong with your log. What are your running processes? Do you have the WMP Network Sharing Service on?

I have checked my running processes and haven't found anything out of the ordinary. Used msconfig and edited the startup programs and processes and disabled things that and that didn't do much. I took my computer outside and cleaned it with some canned air I hooked everything up and it worked fine but I forgot to plug in the CAT5 cable for when it booted. I'll try that after I get Ubuntu 9.10 installed.

Do you have the WMP Network Sharing Service on?

That's the only thorn I have found with 7 so far.

I just disabled it in the services.msc window. It has caused me no ill effects even when streaming to my XBOX.
