i dont like using to os at the same time cos of saved games and settings ...so i'd like to stick with one.
i wud just hate to get rid of xp and start fresh with 7 and have something not work that i really use a lot...
although its a great price right now and i actually have the money....

Does Microsoft release any updates for the RC through windows update (or whatever it's called now)?
And also. What anti-virus programs are you guys running for 64-bit?

Yes they release updates via Windows Update. They are few and far between though as it is a new OS. They will only continue this till the time comes when Win7 this it release date in Oct. No sense in keeping up 2 OS's.
I run Microsoft Security Essentials. But since that can not be obtained anymore since they closed the Beta, you can use AVG or Avast. NOD32 also works.

If I recall, he already uses Win7 full time.
I know I will once it's officially out. Pretty sure all my programs work with it so far. I've stopped customizing Vista in lieu of the pending Win7 release. It's funny though, I've only had Vista since Feb...

I have been using Win7 full time since the RC build came out. I removed Vista/Xp and the rest of my OS's and have to install a Linux Distro yet. But i will only run Win7 as my main Windows.

Windows 7 Professional has XP Mode, so idk why people might be afraid to upgrade if they think, omg my software/programs dont work anymore because of Windows 7. I personally like Vista a lot better then XP. I just didnt like it how it hard poor hardware support n had compatibility issues, especially from printers.

Poor support (as in no drivers) = people had to buy new peripherals = more money in other company's pockets. It was completely on purpose... maybe not at release, but it quickly became that way.

well win 7 has worked fine for me...its just that no matter if vista or 7 worked fine...i was still so attached and use to xp...
i think a lot of ppl are since its been out for SOO long!
well i got the 11th to make my decision..hopefully it doesnt sell out.. | |
