hi
I would like to ask a query regarding window 2000 professional.
It was working without any trouble. Next morning when i start the sytem i got the message "ntoskrnel.exe" is currepted with I/O error code 00001024 and the file path shows window 2000 root/system32/ntoskrnl.exe

Is there any way to quick solve this problem or else i have to repair the OS from CD..

You can try to replace the file that is missing from a DOS prompt. But i dont know if that would work. I think a repair is the best option.

I had that problem too. coincedentally, i DID replace the file from an MS-DOS prompt. First time it happened, i repaired from CD, second time, i used the dos prompt to install the file again. And every time time its happened since then (my copy of windows 2000 must be more corrupt then is usual ) ive used the prompt.
