Default Window size with Explorer 6

Ever since I bought my Dell (last December) the Explorer window seems to get all the info on the page (width wise) so I don't ever have to scroll right to left. Its nice but everything seems compressed, pictures and text. On some web pages there is a white bar on the right side, no info.
Is there a setting in explorer that allows me to change to normal view or is there something wrong?
I'm running windows XP with Explorer 6 and all the current updates.

Thanks!

You should be able to fix that in "View" then text size, on the browser
