win7 "volume mixer has stopped working"

So I'm running win7 RTM (got it from technet) and whenever i try to adjust the volume, it says "volume mixer has stopped working." anyone have any ideas on why it's doing this?

Yup need to either find a better driver or wait for the manufacturer to release one that is compatible. It may not be till Oct when it gets released for GA.
