I am doing a clean Windows Xp install on a clean 160Gb Ide drive.
When i get to the part where it partitions the drive, it doesnt work - no error message, nothing - it just goes back to the partition page as if no partitioning has been done, so i try again and nothing - stuck in an infinite loop.
Did you delete the partitions that are already there first then try?

Okay so if it is unpartitioned space did you try to create a partition? By hitting C to create a partition?
