Default Win XP Burned CD problems

I have just upgraded to XP from ME and most of my cd's I
burned using NTI CD maker aren't recognized. I can still get the files to run on my laptop which uses ME but not on my home system running XP. Any files I try to select, XP pops up and says disk stucture is corrupted and unreadable. I am at a loss on how to get XP to read these files. Any suggestions?

what type of disk is it. This happend to me with all of my backup cd-rws when i switched to xp from 98. If nothing else you could always network your laptop and home system together and share the cd drive. That is what i ended up doing
