oKAy, first off, i go to start up my pc today, and i hit oKay to log onto xp, normally it loads up the icons and bottom tasKbar right away, it tooK about 3 minutes before that popped up, i went to tasK manager and while it was just displaying the bacKground and nothing else there was nothing loading, no cpu usage, also no blinKing harddrive activity light. once it loaded up, yet another problem, whenever i just hit the left shift Key in combination with no other Keys it types a }. the right shift Key types a K. also, if you havent noticed, when i hit K without shift its is automatically capital, same with the } Key, no shift the maKe that symbol. im really confused.

For the keyboard issue try reinstalling the keyboard or trying another keyboard.

For the loading windows initially, have you done a scan for virus's or spyware?
