Im assuming your using a Windows based system....
I would go and search Microsofts knowledge base(KB) for editing the registry for your particular OS. It will explain how to add or edit values, strings, etc. Make sure you backup a working registry first or you WILL REINSTALL YOUR OS AND ALL YOUR SOFTWARE ETC.
