i was just wondering whats everyones favorite version of windows? im currently running vista home premium on the desktop ( its alright) and windows xp pro viena on my laptop |

I've used 3.0, 95, 98, 2000, XP Home, Vista Ultimate, and Seven ultimate. I would have to say that Win7 is the best of them for me.

Winxp MCE edition is my favourite so far. Currently using Win 7 and Win xp + a few linux Distros on my pcs.

2k Pro. By far the most stable one they've made. It may not be the prettiest but it does a **** good job at doing its job.

I have used 95/98/Me/2k/Xp/Xp64/Vista.
Currently i have to say Xp. However I have moved on to Vista with SP2. Looking forward to window 7 from what people have been telling me. If I got a chance, I will see about trying it on my new rig when I get that built in the next week or so.

I have used every version from 3.1 to 7 including nt and 2000 and server varients. Of all of them win7 is the best by far. xp would be my second choice although vista w/ sp2 is very close.
Then again 3.11 for workstations was real sweet.

Any one who wants to vote for WinME can. Please disconnect your modem and throw it away. Then you will be able to vote for ME.

I remember picking up Windows Me when it first came out. It lasted about 2 weeks before I was rolling back to Windows 98se. About the only thing I liked about it was the improved TWAIN interface for scanners.
Right now, I am putting my vote in for WinXP. Because of my work on with Cash Registers and CCTV system, I need a platform that I can know the behavor of. Currently my plans for my new rig will have me using a dual boot WinXp Win7.

I ran ME for about 2 months until I went to 2k. You will dual boot xp and win7 for about the amount of time you ran ME until you use 7 exclusively.

Used 98, ME for a little bit, 2k, XP, Vista, and now running 7 exclusively on both desktop/laptop. Win7 is by far the best I've used so far.
