can some one tell me why Explorer will not close properly???

mine, my moms and a few others i know of have this problem.

I use Firefox but Explorer will freeze and will not close.
and has problems.
I am guessing there is a fix out there for this.

If someone could point me in the right direction please.

What did you mean? Maybe that is a sign to reinstall OS ?

Download hijackthis and post a log, then either Mak or myself will move it to the Spyware section. No reason to reinstall your OS:eek: :eek:

I never have issues with IE. It's probably due to spyware/virus. listen to Osirus, reinstallation is always a last resort.

Yes. It sounds like a spyware issue or something else. Is the system fully updated?

Post your hijack log in there. Once it is all clear come back if you are still having this issue. It is something else and we will work toward a solution then.

I run nod32 and I have defender and spybot going and can not find anything.
I use firefox so it is just one of those things that from time to time I try to fix just cos I am anal about things that don't work right.
I will try what you guys suggest.

FF crashes on me way more than IE does... so does that mean I can say "its simply open source, that's why it has problems"? Not a valid argument now, is it :rolleyes:.

What version of IE do you use? What about browser add-ons? Maybe one or more of them is gumming up the works.
