webcam software

What is a good software program for a webcam that will allow me to take pictures/video with my webcam at certain interivals, and the picture/video that it takes is "large". The program i am using now is called VP-Eye for a logitech webcam. When i record either a pic or a video with this software, it is a small pic/video. What software or program will allow me to take larger images?
