Default voice program

I remember back in the Macintosh days, they had a program where you could use ClarisWorks and have text read out to you using the speech engine used in Macintosh. And you can adjust the voice, volume, speed, etc.

Is there a program that will read out text to you using "Microsoft Bob"? For example, i want to have a word read out to me. Is there a program to do that?

Microsoft Bob was a old replacement OS back in the day. It was based more toward kids.

It was made back in 95. But i do know what you are talking about. Text to Voice. I do know of a app that does it i found ti a while ago for a friend at work.

AT&T Natural Voices also does it. I dont remember the actual name of the app i gave to him. I will see if he remembers it so i can pass it on.

Thanks Makaveli.

I need a "text to voice" program for making SWF tutorials, and then sell them to people, make a few bucks

I just dont like my own voice when doing tutorials, i would rather use a computerized voice.
